2024 Truncheon conan exiles

All of a sudden my last truncheon blow is killing the thrall even if they have plenty of health. Anybody know of a fix for this. I have quit and restarted (playing singleplayer no mods) but no luck. It is also every truncheon if it has a advanced blunt mod on it or so it seems. Basic wooden truncheon without mod works but takes forever to knock .... Yes queen gif

Truncheon is a level 10 weapon. It has awful knockout (15 light, 20 heavy). It does 1 damage (actually 2 damage with the perk). Tools Repairing …Normally I would say the blunt Javelins are a pretty viable way to get thralls, but you can't put kits on them. So maybe the best item to use would be the Coup De Gra from the Judge with a blunting kit, or a heavy-weight steel truncheon (not sure if there's an iron version) with a blunting kit.
