Textbook: Yes. She is a very funny professor. As of right now, her curriculum includes: worksheets in class (used as attendance), you have to watch her lectures outside of class, 2 exams, 1 noncumulative final, and a fun and easy art project. On top of his powerpoints, he uses movies and documentaries as a supplement to many topics. Your grade consists of 2 tests, an essay, and weekly learning modules, however, he condensed our semester's material due to a lack of TAs so take my review with a grain of salt.

Professor Ratner teaches the Python coding language from a Powerpoint. I think that alone is very inefficient for a learning environment. He does not demonstrate anything in class; he just reads off the powerpoint and asks the students to type in what the code should output.He appreciates participation in the class. Social life leaves a bit to be desired since most students are more academically-oriented, but it is what you make of it! Reputation.This professor taught material well for an online course, but assessments lacked relevance to the lectures. There is a multi-week, awful simulation assignment that is significant to the final grade. It makes no sense and there is very unclear instruction given. I scheduled office hours and emailed for feedback multiple times, none of which helped.He doesn't appear to come prepared to lecture and often seems like he is talking to himself instead of the class.
