My 05 was making the same “ticking” noise under acceleration and it ended up with all of my injectors needing to be cleaned. They were all luckily within spec after a good cleaning. On the 2020 there are two belts now and the fan is by itself. GMTECH link has a small description on the problem but no resolution. When at idle (in park or drive doesn't matter) there is a loud ticking noise coming from what sounds like drivers side rear of engine. It is only at idle as soon as throttle is given it goes away. At first I didn't think anything of it but it keeps getting louder and louder.A ticking engine is usually an indication of a problem with the valvetrain.
