This melee/pyro build is heavily stat dependent and it takes a while to get it going. It was not really until after Abyss Watchers, when I got Carthus Flame Arc, that things really picked up. Personally, I hate shields with the pyro hand. Parries dont do anything cuz of the pyro flame and weapon arts are pretty useless. I'd much rather have a chaos/dark infused carthus curved or something. It doesnt really require many stats. Go 40/40 or 45/45 int and faith (depends on how much armor/health/stamina you want to have) with 40 attunement.Make a Dex build, this stat helps reduce casting time. The Iaito, Uchigatana, and BSS are some of the most reliable and easy to get weapons for a Dex build. Lastly, make sure you have 16 Strength, then get the eagle shield and farm the Silver Knight Spear, those two will take you to the end of the game without a problem.
