In all honesty, I think your better off getting the Xbox. The Steam Deck most likely won't be available till 2023. Games are guaranteed to work on Xbox where as you might run into issues with Deck compatibility. Had a similar experience at first but it is fixable by downloading the valve's APU driver from Nov. 2022, then choose Additional Options, then Factory Reset. Then you can now install the March 2023 Valve's APU driver and do the same steps. It will fix the problems from installing the custom APU if any is encountered.
