The SIG Sauer P365 has distinct advantages over a 5-shot .38 snubby, single-stack 9mm or smaller pocket pistol, making it well-suited for concealed carry. The flip side of this is choosing something tiny and “cute” in a poor-performing caliber such as .22 LR, .22 Magnum, .25 ACP (6.35mm Browning) or .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning).Would love to hear any feedback on my experience with a new P365. As I noted elsewhere, this is a testament to the confidence that Sig owners place in the P365 line up IMO. This contributed to building my confidence in purchasing a Sig P365. I came into this discussion wanting the XL given the improved ballistics with the longer barrel of the XL.

Well it's dry here, but I sweat all over my P365X Macro and P365 while hiking, running etc. After such outings, I take them out of the holster, wipe them down with a dry rag and re-holster. Striker tips can break on any handgun regardless of make or model. SIG had a bad run of them early in P365 production but that problem was licked a long time ago. The new striker will have a stronger, beveled tip on it and should last you many thousands of rounds.…

Most 380s are blowback actions, and don't require a significant amount of velocity/chamber pressure to function reliably. I took my new P365 XL out to the range for the first time this past weekend. I put about 100 rounds through it and had absolutely no problems. The SR trigger reset works as designed. It also works fine when dry firing and racking the slide to test reset.

The new striker will have a stronger, beveled tip on it and should last you many thousands of rounds.The biggest obstacle is likely "Don't use that on our range pls." For the most part the P365 for the last year has been done right with few issues that would be of note. Currently SIG is shipping and they are selling within a week or three directly after, which means they are catching up.

Sig did not sell magazine parts for the P365 when I last checked, but they are happy to sell new magazines @ $50/ea.Nov 29, 2023 · I tried the same experiment with the 9mm P365 XL (that’s the long slide version). It cycled just fine, using everyday 147-grain range ammo. I have also tried it with the Beretta 80X Cheetah using the same PMC ammo I had in the .380 Sig. Again, no problems. That wasn’t really a surprise.
