Powder mining and Dwarven commissions were both heavily buffed last month, which makes it far easier to get into anyways. In my opinion, buy yourself a set of sorrow and either a Silverfish or a Mithril Golem (you'll want the powder later) and just get started (you can keep using Pickonimbus for now).
