Oct 15, 2005 · Hey after months and months of work I am going to spray my base coat tomorrow I am using Dupont nason bc/cc system. This is how I did it,-bare metal-Bondo-Glazing putty-2 coats Nason Ful-poxy epoxy primer-3 Coats nason fulthane sentry high build primer-A little more glazing putty So now I have a surface ready for paint that is mostly 2k primer with spots of glazing putty. I routinely thin it to spray it as epoxy sealer before base coat and spray with a1.4 tip. If THIS is what you are doing it can be really thinned as much as (or course depending on the tech sheet for the product, according to the manufacturer) 1:1 regular mix then as much as 1.5 so 1:1:1.5 this makes it really thin and probably pushes some to the …Also the trouble with sealer if you are not shooting in a booth is that it stays wet for a while and tends to collect a lot of dirt nibs. you can nib sand the sealer with 800 grit if you need to. I don't like to use sealer unless I have to. 600 the primer and then base is what I usually will do.
